What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy and neuro linguistic programming (NLP) can help you with many modern day problems to promote lasting change. It can be used to remove fears, phobias, self-limiting beliefs and negative self-talk, stress and anxiety to build and strengthen self confidence and self esteem and create a positive outlook.

Hypnotherapy and NLP is a talking therapy that uses the power of hypnosis, positive suggestion and language. It combines hypnosis and therapy (hence hypno-therapy) to bring about long lasting changes to your thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours as a treatment for a range of long-term conditions. It’s the combination of therapies that makes treatment so quick, powerful and effective. Hypnotherapy puts you into a “trance-like” state which allows access to your unconscious mind so you can become open to new suggestions and ideas for change. It’s a safe process and British Medical Association approved since 1955.

What is NLP?

NLP uses tools and techniques to tap into your mindset to overcome obstacles such as self limiting decision making and negative emotions. It focuses on your cognitive and neurological experiences and how these were created using your 5 senses, taste, touch, smell, sight and sound, in other words your life filters, helping you make sense of the world. These become your belief system and how you value yourself, others and the world around you, some of which maybe negative and unhelpful. NLP uses a framework of positive language to re-programme these experiences, beliefs and values and change the filters to encourage positive outcomes. 

In your trance-like state we will guide you to describe – using NLP positive language associated with seeing, feeling and hearing - what you want, what you need, and what needs to change in the way you think, feel and behave. We use NLP positive language and suggestion so you can achieve a mindset change that enables you to step into the future.

Hypnotherapy and NLP when integrated is a powerful and effective therapy that helps you to achieve your outcomes, empowering and equipping you with a ‘can do’ mental attitude. It can improve so many aspects of your life including trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, panic attacks, generalised anxiety and social anxiety to name but a few.

Your Hypnotherapy and NLP Programme


We believe in a person centred approach so the therapy sessions are tailored to you and your need. The format in general is:

  • 20 minute complimentary and confidential session to briefly explore the issue, how therapy will help and agree next steps

  • 1.5 – 2 hour initial therapy session  - this is a discovery and getting to know you session and our charge is £120 for the extended time

  • 1 hour sessions thereafter (6 sessions minimum are needed to make a noticeable change but number will depend on your and your specific needs) either face to face or Skype

  • Email support

  • 15-30 minute check in calls every 2 to 3 months after therapy has completed to review progress and reset session if needed

We charge £80 per hour and all payments are taken in advance. 48 hours notice is required for any cancellation. 
All our sessions are treated in the strictest confidence.
